"Santa's Camels" is a 6 minute 3d animated cartoon
short written and produced by Rahel Kent. This delightful tale
introduces a charming cast of characters designed by world
renown humorous illustrator, Steve Gray. The 3d models were
created in 3d Studio max (Autodesk) by
master modeler Tom Knight (Imagination Works aka
iw43d) and
brought to life with his animation.
The film has been selected to screen in over 76 cities in film
festivals around the world. Chosen categories include best animated
short, narrative short, children's short, and best short film overall.
"Santa's Camels" was nominated for best animated
short film in 8 festivals worldwide, winning the Big Island Film
Festival in Hawaii, the Gloria Film Festival in Salt
Lake City, Utah, and best Christmas story at the Idaho Panhandle
Festival. It was nominated as a finalist in the 36th
Annual U.S. Film & Video Competition, (a national event held
annually in Dallas, TX) and received honorable mention at the Ole
Muddy Film Festival in Wisconsin.
"Santa's Camels" is Rahel Kent's 1st film and is one
in a series of four short stories she has written. The entire
compilation is entitled "Santa's World Travels".
